White or light yellow solid, slight pungent odor, soluble in water, presented as viscous liquid after dissolved; soluble in isopropyl alcohol, ethanol, water, acid-resistant, hard water-resistant , but not alkali. can react with strong acid to form quaternary ammonium bases (alkali). With perfect moistening, anti-static ability, sterilization. softness modifying ability; belongs to quaternary ammonium salt type cationic surfactant
