T.A.E.D. is a low temperature oxygen bleaching activator, widely used in:
1. Detergent industry
2. Textile and dyeing industry
Function in detergent industry:
Bleaching agent is an important ingredient in detergent system with its properties of whitening, brightening, cleaning and sterilizing effect. In various detergent products, there are mainly 2 types of bleaching agent:
1. Oxygen series
2. Chloride series
Comparing chloride series bleach agent, oxygen series' advantages are:
1. Non toxic
2. No chloride odor
3. Suitable to all the fiber and colorful fiber
4. Better compatibility with various surfactants and enzymes
So oxygen series bleaching agent is more popular in fast-consuming detergents. But there is also one disadvantage for oxygen series bleaching agent
The 2 main oxygen series bleaching agent are:
1. Sodium Percarbonate (SPC)
2. Sodium Perborate (SPB)
When sodium perborate is used in detergent system, it's bleaching effect can only be mostly released when the water temperature reaches 60ºC, while this high temperature is not only energy consuming but also can harm some fabrics. To solve this problem, there are 2 solutions:
1. Using Sodium percarbonate (SPC) to replace sodium perborate (SPB)
2. Adding T.A.E.D, to activate Sodium perborate under the water temperature 30~60ºC
1. Sodium Percarbonate (SPC) is also Rawchem's regular and strong item
2. We normally list 1 year as the shelf life in our COA, the real shelf life can be a little bit longer than 1 years if it's stocked in good condition (bags are sealed enough, away from direct sun-light, moisture and other incompatible chemical materials). But it's still suggested to avoid long-time storage
